Escudo Rojo Reserva Syrah
This wine comes from the maipo valley, 30 km south of santiago. Nestling at the foot of the andes mountains, it is a valley with a long winegrowing tradition which offers some of the best conditions for cultivating syrah.
A bright, intense ruby-red colour with purple highlights. Deeply intense and fruity, with notes of blackberry and blackcurrant, red berries such as cranberries and spicy aromas of pink peppercom, combined with soft notes of butterscotch and cedar imparted by oak ageing. Starts out excellent with good volume, well-balanced acidity and a very good structure. Fruity aromas of blackcurrant and spicy nuances follow through to the long, lingering finish. It can be paired with spicy Asian dishes, Thai dishes, or roast lamb chops, grilled steak , etc.
